Local authority redaction
Councils and public bodies handle subject access requests, FOI disclosures, complaints, HR files, safeguarding records, planning correspondence and mailbox exports. RedactNinja is built to support that review work in the browser without sending source files to a document processing server.

Local authority disclosure work is rarely one clean PDF. Reviewers may need to handle emails, attachments, scanned forms, case notes, spreadsheets, reports and exported mailbox evidence. The risk is not only missing a name. It is missing an address, a third party, a hidden file property, a duplicate email thread or a small image that contains personal data.
RedactNinja is not a managed legal service. It is a browser based review tool for teams that want a structured way to prepare redacted files, receipts and disclosure pack evidence before final sign-off.
Use a guided case workflow, requester checks, review notes, detection rules and export controls.
Redact searchable PDFs and quick JPG or PNG evidence. Image files are converted to a temporary local PDF for review.
Process MSG, MBOX, supported PST files and Purview style ZIP exports into redacted PDF output where supported.
Record duplicate email counts and choose whether duplicate messages should be excluded from new mailbox PDF outputs.
Extract supported text from DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, RTF, HTML, CSV and TXT into a fresh redacted PDF output.
Download receipts and a case-level redaction certificate covering local processing, checks and reviewer sign-off fields.
RedactNinja is designed so selected evidence is processed in the browser tab. Source files are not uploaded to a RedactNinja document processing API. Outputs are created only when the reviewer chooses to download them.
Automated rules can find likely personal data, but they cannot decide disclosure context. Reviewers still need to check third party data, safeguarding material, confidential references, legal privilege, mixed personal data and public interest decisions under their organisation's process.
